Since its inception into the Ministry of Education (MOE) Choral Excellence Programme in 2002, the Cedar Girls' School Choir has gone from strength to strength, garnering Distinction Awards at the biennial Singapore Youth Festival. Under the baton of alumnus and Choral Director Naomi Chye, the choir has won Gold awards at international choral competitions such as The Pacific Basin Music Festival (Hawaii, USA) and Festival of Songs International Choir Festival Musica Religiosa (Olomouc, Czech Republic). The choir also clinched the champion title in the National Schools Xinyao 新谣 Singing Competition (2018).                                                                              The choir has been invited to perform at events like the President's Star Charity Show, The Asia-Pacific Symposium for Music Education and The World Conference of The Bloomberg Awards Ceremony. To spread the joy of community through song, the choir has also performed at  St John’s Home for Elderly, MusicFest @ The Singapore General Hospital and SG Rhapsodies @ The Sentosa. All these platforms have enabled the choir, as singing ambassadors, to foster goodwill and partnership with our community.
